Learn and live leadership with us this summer.

Our OWLs (Outstanding Wise Leaders) sharpen their public speaking and presentation skills, but also explore the impact of nonverbal communication.

Working together, they experience their own leadership styles in different contexts as they learn about team building and group dynamics. They gain cultural competence and come to understand the tremendous impact each individual leader can have on her community through service, examining case studies, ethical decision making and creating a unique action plan.

Daily, participants find the courage within themselves as they push beyond their own boundaries by conquering physical and mental challenges. They work closely with high school or college mentors and interact with adult women who share their personal and professional leadership paths. In a culminating presentation, each young leader showcases the skills she developed in the program’s workshops.

Ongoing reflection is a vital part of the character-building process, and every girl journals regularly about her own journey as a leader throughout the program as well as how she will apply to her life after GLI the skills she is learning now.
